Vintage Dressing~

So one of my favorite things to do is dressup in vintage clothing! I love dresses for everyday and I love wearing skirts... actually I'm wearing one right now. Well, sense we are living with my Grandma and Grandpa right now I have the privledge to play it quite often, with all her 'older' dresses.
Another thing I love is, photo shoots wearing vintage things like dresses and such!

Here is a website I wanted to share, that still sells vintage things of those sorts...

Something that I'm planning on doing once I start "Ladies of Femininity" back up again, yes I am planning on it, is having a trunk full of dresses just for the "Ladies of Femininity."

Oh, How I'm Aspiring!

The other day I had a couple extra moments on the computer, and decide to visit a blog I love, by Miss Sarah Clarkson! This post I've been feeling as well and I just had to share...

Anne Fans

Now me, my siters and my cousin Hannah love the Anne Movies. From Anne's temper to dramatic ways we really are Anne's fans!
I have to say I can relate to Anne in many ways than one. My imagination normally takes off to places before I can stop it, and talk some sense to it. Also I'm a writer and I do love to talk and write in "high fluhutin mumbo-jumbo". Poetry is a delight also and I have to admit I do love simple country life to city life. The sun rising, the field blowing in the wind and maybe some deer in the distants. My feet in the creek, long walks in the woods and reading books from trees and picking wild flowers!

I am very fortunate to have wild flowers in a small field near by, even though I live in a neighborhood.

Now for another old picture I found looking for images of Anne on the internet. Don't you like them?

When Your with Family

So my uncle is in from out of town and all my cousins, and their families, decided to come and visit! Well, here are some fun moments and quotes from the "small" group who is here already!

"Guess what Hannah! Kate Middleton's favorite book is 'Anne of Green Gables' " hannah-"You told me that last night." Kenzie "She didn't remember because she's oblivious." Kassidy Burke *mouth drops* "Makenzie Burke!......*pause*... I should sneeze on your face!" *everyone starts laughing!*

A song from 'Pride and Prejudice' comes on, three year old Joseph gasped! "This...this..this" Katie- (My sister) "Mr. Darcy?" Joseph-"Yeah! Its Mr. Darcy!" *He starts jumping and then dancing*

From notes in one of my note books, my cousin Hannah and my sister Katie made a joke!

"Don't waste your life on emotional purity! Instead do Crunchy Cons. Be the change, and call your friends to buy Crunchy Cons! Go Crunchy Cons!"

Kate Middleton's Favourite Book!

So today, as I scrolled through my notifications on Facebook, I saw an interesting post on the  Anne of Green Gables fan page about the new bride of Prince William. Just seeing a post of the new couple struck my fancy and then me realizing actually where the post came from, that was quite a fancy by it self!

So I clicked, and well, I think I'll let you all read, and OOoo and awe for yourselves!

Amazing Grace

One of my new heros is William Wilberforce and one of my new favorite movies is "Amazing Grace".
I though I would share some quotes with you all, feel free to sit and relax while I share.

John Newton: [reciting his song] "I once was blind but now I see". Didn't I write that?
William Wilberforce: Yes, you did.
John Newton: Now at last it's true

John Newton: Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly. I'm a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.

Barbara Wilberforce: It seems to me, that if there is a bad taste in your mouth, you spit it out. You don't constantly swallow it back.
Pitt the Younger: As your Prime Minister, I urge you caution
William Wilberforce: And as my friend?
Pitt the Younger: To hell with caution.

Now words from the hero~

"Accustom yourself to look first to the dreadful consequences of failure; then fix your eye on the glorious prize which is before you; and when your strength begins to fail, and your spirits are well nigh exhausted, let the animating view rekindle your resolution, and call forth in renewed vigour the fainting energies of your soul."
William Wilberforce

“Can you tell a plain man the road to heaven? Certainly, turn at once to the right, then go straight forward.”

I'm reading some of his speeches on "Real Christianity".

Good day all!

Welcome!

Welcome one and all to my new blog!
Can you see I love old fashioned things? If I could, I would pour you all a cup of tea and give you crumpets! Sadly though, this is just my own little home of fantasy until the day of a new 'season'. Which reminds me, my mom said I should of named my blog "Hopeless Romantic". She says I am one, which I suppose I am! Well, come step into my my parlor and you can trust its not the invitation like in the rhyme of  "The Spider and the Fly."
So here is some tea!

Feel free to explore this little place of wonder from the Library, to my own writings. For this is my cottage and the door to my mind, and this is probably the only place you'll be able to get into it. (smile)

Sincerely,
Kassie
